Stony Brook University Hospital Cancer Center

• Since 2010, Stepping Stone Support has selected patients of SBUH Cancer Center as recipients of the Survivor’s Helper program.  Recipients, their caregiver, and children received holiday “wish” gifts, new toys, winter necessity items, in home beauty services, prepared meals/baked goods, gift certificates for food, pharmacy, clothes, sporting events, and more.

Local Families (Long Island, New York)

• Since 2010 SSS has selected Survivor’s Helper Recipients from outside nominations.  Cancer patients being treated at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, Cancer Centers of America, John Hopkins Cancer Center, NYU Winthrop-University Hospital and others.

Foundation For Women’s Cancer

• In 2012 Stepping Stone Support donated $5,000 to sponsor the 2013 Ovarian Cancer Survivors Course held at NYU Langone Medical Center in NYC.
• 2011, 2012, 2013, 2014, 2015, 2016, 2017 Stepping Stone Support’s Teal Warriors has attended the FWC Gynecologic Cancer Awareness Movement weekend at the National Race To End Women’s Cancer in Washington, DC.  Annually, the team raises funds for the FWC as well as raises awareness of gynecologic cancers.
